Katie... what's her name?

Does Katie Hopkins believe the crap that comes out of her mouth or is she just a misinformed, offensive idiot? & what are the BBC doing giving her a platform, and I presume paying her for it?

New Aston Villa Away Kit

Now Im not just going to post about the Villa all the time but the new grey and white 2011 away strip has been released today. Whether you like it or not (& personally I dont) I am starting to wonder about the tradition of this once great and mighty club. Where is there any semblance of anything traditional in this new design? So in one week we take a manager across the great divide in Brum, from the other side of the street, and now this. Is it that the owner, (an American)  although Im sure he is a gracious and fine individual, doesn't grasp either what football is about (in the UK anyway) or doesn't chime with the supporters of the club. And one final point; if we do have to have sponsorship on the front of the shirts (& do we realy need to do this for the sake of only £2m per year) please let it be something that at least looks good, or reasonable, or just OK on the shirt. Because the new name doesnt!  & this is my final point.... Villa took the high ground and showed exceptional moral leadership in 2009 by allowing a charitable childrens organisation to sponsor our shirts (for free) and what do we now have.... a casino sponsoring us!! My lord, I rest my case.

Alex Mcleish

There isnt a sole in Birmingham who hasnt questioned this decision. Not only the manner in which the man was appointed, whether he is the right man for the job or if he can really improve the Villa. Blues supporters may be glad to see the back of him now, and I dont mean this in any derogatory way but maybe Mcleish is a good Championship manager, but has he proved anything to anybody in the Premier League? He won the Coca Cola Cup but with a fair degree of luck - he was lucky to beat the Villa (who didnt have a good season) and Arsenal are doomed never to win anything ever again. I think he can only improve on Houllier and McAllister as if he doesnt the Villa will be facing relegation. He may well have some money to spend and it will be a test of the man to see how he spends it. To me he is not the manager, or the style of manager, that a team with aspirations that a club like Villa should appoint. Regardless of who he has previously managed I doubt he will achieve what we hope Lerner desires, unless that is simply Premier League mid table mediocrity for the next 3 years. I hope I am wrong, I hope he brings good days to Villa Park. And if I am I will gladly tip my hate and salute him, because for now he is the manager of the team that I love.
